How I can fish speaker wire through an insulated wall?
I have a hole under the house (on the mezzanine) directly below the hole on the wall where I want the speaker cable out, but I can not get the fish tape to get from point A to point B. I think the hole drilled in the crawlspace, I could be behind the insulation. How I can fish around the insulation? Is there a certain technique to do this? I've never worked with fish tape before - I just bought tape 25 'Home Depot.
While holes are close enough you can use a thick wire solid copper and run it down in the hole in the wall by lifting up and down gently moving from left to right until you feel it go through the hole, then tie a strong rope by pulling it it through the hole. solid copper wire most of the time will go through the installation. This worked perfectly for most of my projects throughout my years.
