Bjorn Wiinblad wall plate
They are passionate collectors of the works of Danish designer, Bjorn Wiinblad (1918-2006). Bjorn is known as "the designer of the designer 'it. His work is diverse and encompasses studio art pottery, glass, silver, posters and design costume. He was the chief designer of Rosenthal porcelain company for 35 years and his work has been exhibited worldwide including in Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of New York Modern Art.
Both Elizabeth and Richard are equally passionate about the work Wiinblad, but in the beginning Elizabeth was the collector. He began collecting ago five years through a Danish contact and now have over 150 items in its collection.
Elizabeth and Richard Collection is via your home, something they love to see every day. Elizabeth says the beauty of Bjorn Wiinblad Working Wall Plate 's is that you can buy a lovely little piece cheap or you can spend a lot of money on large statues. Since the 1950s, Rosenthal Studio-Line has led the industry in modern, avant-garde. Internationally renowned designers and artists as Walter Gropius, Timo Sarpaneva, Tapio Wirkkala, Mario Bellini and Bjorn Wiinblad have contributed to building Rosenthal's brand name. Recent collaboration with designers Jasper Morrison and Platt and Young have led to many new product innovations.
