Why my RCA home theater speakers no longer work?
I just bought the current system. It is the first I've had, so I have little knowledge of how they work. To test the speakers, they all work well. Could the type of DVD that affects the use that the speakers work in a given time and I've only tried older shows / movies such as The Waltons and western black and white? Also, when I switch to stereo, the speaker usually works, stops working and carrying two speakers working fine.
Sounds that your system works correctly. The font you are using will influence how many speakers are used. Old TV shows, such as the Waltons, are obviously not going to be Dolby Surround sound. The back of the DVD shows the options audio available. In general, it will be 2.1 (stereo) or 5.1 (surround) of very old material, such as black and white westerns of yours, or even be in black and white but the system simply to output the same sound from his forehead (but not the center) speaker. Note that "stereo" only refers to the front part right and left front speakers. Other speakers will be silent. "2.1" is stereo with subwoofer. 5.1 or Dolby Surround, must involve all 5 speakers and subwoofer. Some receivers may have the option of using what I call "Fakey around", which uses other speakers, but will the same sound from the front left or right.
