The history and characteristics of the Jazz Combo

Jazz is an American art form, whose roots go back to the songs of slaves in the mid- Century 19 and the edges. The 20th century saw the flowering of art and instrumental music in the southern United States, mainly along the Mississippi River and, specifically, New Orleans, Louisiana.

The first instrumental jazz combos of New Orleans in the varied instrumentation. Often, these groups generally consisted of early jazz trumpet, clarinet, trombone, tuba and drums.
