The most significant source of safety standards should always be followed

Read the user manual before using a generator.

Never run a generator indoors, like any internal combustion engine, which produces carbon monoxide that are lethal in a confined space.

Do not fill generator fuel, while the engine is running or hot.

Add fuel to fuel tank at least 10 feet from the work area and any other heat or flames. Do not fill the tank to the brim, the fuel may expand and overflow.

Do not smoke while filling the fuel tank.

Clean up any spilled gas or oil, clean the area with a clean cloth, or absorb with an absorbent such as kitty litter or vermiculite, avoid using sawdust which is combustible. Place fuel-soaked rags in metal containers closed and dispose of them following local environmental regulations.

Keep the gas and oil in containers specifically designed fuel storage and clearly marked FUEL. Keep containers away from heat and flame.

Check engine oil level every time to refuel the generator.

Never use a generator exhaust system defective or damaged.

Ground the generator following the manufacturer's instructions, which will divert any street circuit current of a grounded Shott, reducing the risk of electric shock.

Do not connect a 240 volt tool or appliance to a 120 volt outlet.

Do not overload the generator not connect power tools or appliances with higher power rating the generator.

Never connect the generator to the electrical system in your home or store in an attempt to provide power during an outage. This practice, known as "feedback" is unlav'rful in some areas, as it poses a risk to anyone working in the electrical system.

Keep hands and face away from the carburetor where the air filter is removed, a pre-ignition or explosion of fuel in an engine cylinder can cause severe burns.

Do not touch the engine or generator exhaust, while the machine is running or immediately after shutdown, these parts can reach be very hot. Let the generator cool down before making any matnlenance.

Turn off the generator before any maintenance is also Disconnect the spark plug wire and battery to prevent accidents start the engine.

Generator use is governed by federal and state legislation in some areas, contact the competent authorities of their community of any applicable law.
