I am a sound engineer who designate and establish sound systems. For both the front speakers and rear, the distance between the speakers should be the same ad on the distance between the point of the meeting (the chair) and speakers. Think of it as a (I) where you are sitting in the middle. If the chair is 10 feet from the wall of the TV, then the speakers should be on that wall 10 feet away. if the rear wall is 23 feet behind you the speakers should be 23 feet away.
