How do I connect my home theater system to the TV?

Hi, I have a TV that has a HDMI IN, set box has HDMI OUT, and theater house has HDMI OUT. I have HDMI to my home theater system. When I connect the analog audio cable to my set up box to home theater, I'm doing TV sound and home theater system. And video has connected Hdmi Cable box to TV setup. Is there a way to avoid the sound of the TV? Please help me on this. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Shrey

Hello to you, I have a home theater and I always use my TV volume is good, but not with Old habits die hard. But the volume just enough to help mix the center channel, because of my center speaker to rest on the top right of the TV I like a more direct dialogue. If you choose not to have the TV volume just mute or lower the volume to a minimum. If your surround sound is working very well and not interfere with the HDMI set up the TV volume can have the day off by turning to the bottom. It is certainly normal for the box to turn off the sound of analog or stereo cables giving you the option to watch TV without surround sound for home theater uses.
