I want to copy videos to a disc and then download it to my 360 yahoo blog.?

But first, I have to start simply with a copy of the video on the disc. I have a new Sony DVD Home Theatre System and I can not find any record button on the DVD player. I can play video old VCR, but I do not know if I can on a disc at the same time. Help please!
