Why does a woman's Studies "section, but not men?
As you can see, I am a woman. But why is it acceptable women have this section of your account, own schools, groups / organizations of their own, etc, but if men do, is called chauvanistic, misogynist, etc? I am not looking for easy answers, that is, women are always imagined to be a victim, the men intend neanderthal knuckles trawlers in women knocking on the head and dragging them to a cave for sex and pot roast for women to have to fight again, so I'm looking for intelligent, thoughtful observations. I do not think being a woman is more difficult than being a man or vice versa, just different. If a man is a brand new Samsung 46 "flat Screen Hdtv definition, then a woman is a pair of 14K 1 ct TW princess cut diamond earrings - these articles are on my wish list =) Basically, what I'm saying is that these articles refer to the same value, but are very different in character.
Women's Studies is an actual field of academia, as geology or political science. Men have been the writers of history from the Babylonians about 8000 years ago. Women have never really been represented in history and politics until recently. Discussion in this discipline was the fate of this category of Yahoo Answers. As you can see, many people came here in search to provoke hatred and baseless petty arguments. Then, to appease the trolls, the section is called this was changed to Gender and Women's Studies. This is ridiculous because it does not really solve anything. Men who are really looking for a place to share ideas have been ignored, but the trolls who just want though women have been rewarded. Yahoo Answers has reached a new low, and I sincerely believe that everything should be scrapped and rebuilt.
