Things that go bump in the night

Dark clouds gathered over the city on that particular night. I remember him well because the street lights which usually occurred at around 9.30 pm in the summer months, started an hour and a half before the night. The night was with us.

Then came the rain, and thunder rains caused by the opening of the skies with implosion of flashes of light and darkness. Being home alone that night would have been perfect had the weather remained kind, but it felt like tonight would be a night hellfire which was released in the earth. The fury of the storm, which sounded like it was causing carnage in all directions, then what seemed like hours whole. In fact, less than half an hour had passed. Then the failed lights. The power outage and everything went pitch black for the moment. I looked my way the kitchen blinds to sift through the kitchen drawers, hoping to find candles or anything else that could help me. But I found none. There may be some in the garage I thought. But the lightning through cracks in the garage door and rain rough against the front, struck a deep fear in my soul. "Okay" I told myself in the dark coat of arms. Silhouettes and shadows moving flooded the front room of this old house as the lightning fired more shots. There was only one thing to do I said to myself. "Bed", which then climbed a flight of wooden steps. The windows of upper floors of the house were closed and even if the ground floor was intermittent light and with occasional flash, I could not see anything here. I thought that was going in what appeared to be a boiler deep dark, deeper madness, as the storm raged about. Without another thought, in a moment of insecurity and fear child, I took my arm out in front me and ran to my room diving into bed. As she lay motionless, I heard the howling wind. The lashing rain gave him, struck against the walls of the house and the front of the garage doors. And then, as soon as the rains had come, he was gone. Now, in complete darkness pitch black, l left a fear that is worse, a world of darkness, and the almost total silence. The grandfather clock intervened once to ring at half past the hour. I could not be sure what time was, but the sound of the ticking clock downstairs seemed to grow stronger. That and the water dripping from the outside, apparently tried to compete for the empty silence inside the house. Then came other sounds while I was still in my bed. I held my breath to make sure I could clearly hear the new sounds. Theft were sounds coming from the garage. Fear gripped me, I could not move. What could be there? Who? What? How? These were questions that began to haunt my mind. Suddenly, the silence was broken by the sound of television mysterious blast in life as the light filled the house once more. Power back and the modern twentieth century seemed to blow away the uniqueness of the spooky old house. And finally filled with a sense of relief. But the noise, what was that? Had stopped. I decided to investigate the garage ...
