Reviewing the Akiles WireMac Combo Double Loop Wire binding machine and plastic comb
Overview:
- The Akiles WireMac Combo is one of the only binding machines on the market that is able to bind two plastic combs and double loop wire using the same machine.
- This machine is available in two different configurations. You can choose between a machine that will use plastic combs and 3:1 spines tone or cable or you can choose a machine that will use combs and wire step 2:1.
- This all heavy duty machines are ideal for metal binding organizations looking for durability, flexibility and versatility in binding their documents.
Strengths / Features:
- The Akiles WireMac Combo is available in two configurations:
- A setting out the holes for plastic comb binding and holes for wire pitch 3:1 binding. This machine is compatible with thorns comb binding, double loop wire, GBC Proclick, Zipbind GBC, Wire-O spiral coil and 3:01 spiral pitch. This provides a wide variety of link options for users and allows your organization to use different binding styles for different types or types of reports or presentations.
- The WireMac Combo is also available with a stroke of the comb binding and a bump pitch 2:1 wire binding. This machine is designed for binding documents with thorns 2:01 pitch wire, GBC Zipbind, plastic combs and wire-O spiral. While this computer not provide as many options link to the 3:01 version, provides the ability to bind larger books using double loop wire.
- The WireMac Combo is composed almost entirely of heavy metal components. These metal components are designed to last longer and be more durable than components binding machines that are made of plastic. Compared with the C500pro GBC, which offers similar options drilling, metal building is a of the things that helps set this machine apart.
- Both configurations of this machine includes a high-tensile wire double loop closer. This is located near the front of the machine and is designed to close the "C" shaped barbed wire to become whole year. This makes it a great option for small and medium enterprises. However, large organizations and companies in need do a lot of link will be considered an interchangeable die modular binding system. A modular blow when combined with appropriate finishing equipment will be three to four times more productive than this machine.
- Despite Akiles has done a great job of putting a large number of features in a system required, the resulting product is not as nice as some customers want. The Combo has two levers WireMac punches, a handle to operate the comb opener and a handle to operate the nearest cable. It is also quite large and occupies a fair amount of counter space. These are things to consider if you are considering a combination system like this union.

- The Akiles WireMac Combo is an excellent machine for users who are looking to multiple styles of unity within your organization. In fact, this machine can be used with more different styles of binding any another system on the market. This makes it a great machine for offices that are not sure what style of binding you want to use or think offices you may need to change the look of your reports and presentations in the future.
- It is extremely durable and built with components of high quality metal and has all the features you need in a manual binding.
- However, this is still a manual binding machine is not ideal for high volume applications or applications where productivity is essential. It is also important to ensure that you have the space for this type of system in your office before make your purchase.
