Elizabeth Taylor was born in Hampstead, Greater london on Feb 27, 1932. She was the little one of two Us citizens, Sara Viola Warmbrodt and Francis Len Taylor, who happened to be residing in England at the time of her birth. Her daddy was an fine arts seller and her mom was an occasional actress who went by the stage identity, Sara Sothern. Elizabeth entered the humanities at the early age of about three when she started taking ballet lessons. While the world was preparing for World War II, Elizabeth and her family moved back to California where she made her first appearance in motion pictures at the age of nine.
Elizabeth Taylor Child Star
After an un accredited part in Jane Eyre and The White Cliffs of Dover, Elizabeth Taylor experienced child-star reputation when she played as Velvet Brown, a 1920s working-class girl who dreams of owning a horse, in Clarence Brown's poignant family story based on Enid Bagnold's novel, National Velvet (1944, together with Mickey Rooney). A couple of years after, she acted lead part of a youngster who takes care of and nurses Lassie in Fred M. Wilcox's Courage of Lassie (1946) and costarred with Bill Powell and Irene Dunne in Michael Curtiz's delightful comedy based on Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse's Broadway play, the Oscar-nominated Life with Father (1947).
Taylor married for the first time at age 18 to hotel heir Conrad Hilton, a union that was over within a year. Elizabeth Taylors 2nd hubby was creator Michael Wilding, with which she experienced two son's. Her 3rd spouse, Michael Todd, with whom she was the proud mother of a little girl, was killed in a plane crash in 1958. Taylor sought comfort from his best friend, Eddie Fisher, who soon left his wife, Debbie Reynolds, to be with Taylor.
Elizabeth Taylor Motion Picture Super Star
In 1963, Elizabeth Taylor became the highest compensated motion picture star up to that point in time when she accepted US$1 million to perform the headline part in the extravagant creation of Cleopatra for Twentieth century Fox. It was throughout the filming of the motion picture that she worked the very first time with husband to be Richard Burton, who performed Mark Antony. Film publications had a field day when Taylor and Burton began an extramarital relationship in the course of filming; each movie star were married with other individuals during the time.
Elizabeth Taylor is known for her movies, her fragrances – White Diamonds and Passion – and her marriages. She has been married eight times to seven different men in the entertainment business as well as a politician and a construction worker. Seven of her marriages ended in divorce and her third ended in a tragic plane crash.
