How high above the left ear and surrounding the right placed in Dolby Digital 5.1?
I've heard of this website http://www.audioholics.com/tweaks/speaker-setup-guidelines/home-theater-speaker-layout-an-essential-guide that the best way to be 2 meters or more above ear level! Luckily I'm in a stable so that I can do that, but obviously most people do not aesthetics and such like, but ….. any other opinions surround placement.
From experience I can say it is better to live up to your ear when on the couch so you can hear everything. I'm using spdif out of my pc and the receiver is in music mode DTS 6, is found in the best setting for movies. For the music always changes the stereo mode
