How i should design my home theatre? (using mainly internet only as a resource)?
i had selected Onkyo TX NR1000 as my AV reciever and Infocus ScreenPlay 777 as my projector. i had newly constructed room specially for home theatre measuring 15 feet wide, 29 feet long and 11 feet in height. i m yet to select proper speakers for this configuration and cables. My biggest problem is sound and acoustic desin. Thanx in advance whosover shares his knowledge with me.
DIY channel on cable had a special on Home Theatre build out. It was very interesting. I would recommend when you are ready for speakers you buy it from a source that allows you to return them for something else within a certain timeframe. Speakers only reveal themselves in your own space.
As to acoustics, the show I watched showed them alternating between wall studs with different kinds of insulation. There are so many acoustical products out now that it all depends on budget and how crazy you want to get.
I have my system in a rather small room that is not dedicated to home theater, however the amp, speakers and processor are so good that you could never crank it all the way up and sit in the room.
Nice size room you have that is dedicated to Home Theater. If you were my neighbor I would be over with a case of beer as soon as you were ready to go!! LOL
